As we approach Election Day next week, I want to take a
moment to encourage you to approach this important
opportunity with prayer, humility, and faith.
Voting is not just a civic duty—it’s also a way to steward
the influence and freedom God has entrusted to us.
In Micah 6:8, we’re reminded:
“He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does
the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.”
As followers of Christ, we are called to act justly, love
mercy, and walk humbly with our God—even in the way we
engage as citizens. While our world often feels divided,
our hope and unity are found in Christ alone.
The upcoming election carries great significance for our
state and for the values we hold dear. I encourage each of
us to approach this opportunity prayerfully, seeking God’s
wisdom and courage to stand for what is right and just—
especially on behalf of those who cannot speak for
themselves.
Every life is sacred, and from the moment of conception,
each person is wonderfully created in the image of God.
Before you vote, I encourage you to pray. Ask God for
discernment. Remember the words of James 1:5:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who
gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be
given to you.”
Let’s be people who shine light in the darkness, who stand
with God’s Word, who love our neighbors, and who honor
God in every decision we make.
Thank you for being a church that cares deeply about
truth, compassion, and living sent. Let’s continue to pray
for our community and our nation in the days ahead, as we
seek God for revival.
Pastor Stan
