The Jewish Question

 www.hallindsey.com

By Hal Lindsey

The world is staggering under the weight of billions of bad decisions — bad decisions by regular citizens and by the world’s leaders. Of those choices, one stands out as particularly dangerous — the decision to blame Jews for humanity’s problems. We have seen where this decision leads. The Nazis took it to a place they called Endlösung. In English, that means, “The Final Solution.”

Adolf Hitler built his whole sorry career on extreme hatred of Jews. In his book, Mein Kempf, he blamed Jews for mankind’s worst evils. He spoke of “the Jewish question” as a primary problem for humanity — a problem he could solve. His solution was simple. In 1922, three years before Mein Kempf, Hitler told a journalist, “Once I really am in power, my first and foremost task will be the annihilation of the Jews.”

Of course, no one believed him. He said it, but if his voice entered the consciousness of most people at all, it did so as something of an oddity from the outer fringe. At first, no one thought he would gain power. When he did, they assumed his power would be checked by more moderate forces.

He abused Jews from the beginning, but that abuse did not start with “annihilation.” He did not pull the trigger on his plan to exterminate Jews until December 12, 1941 — one day after declaring war on the United States. On that day, Hitler held a secret meeting with 50 Nazi officials, including their Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels.

There are no official minutes from the meeting, but in his journal, Goebbels wrote, “With respect of the Jewish Question, the Führer has decided to make a clean sweep. He prophesied to the Jews that if they again brought about a world war, they would live to see their annihilation in it.

That wasn’t just a catchword.… If the German people have now again sacrificed 160,000 dead on the eastern front, then those responsible for this bloody conflict will have to pay with their lives.”

Hitler had decided to exterminate an entire people, to engage in actual genocide. The Nazis called it the final solution. We call it the Holocaust. They decided to rid Europe of Jews by murdering them. Germany was a modern nation filled with intelligent, educated people. They were children of the Enlightenment. They weren’t so different from us.

That point was brought home to me again in the last few days when I saw a sign that featured a large Palestinian flag and a small Israeli flag beside the words, “Final Solution.” This was not in some faraway land. It was at George Washington University. That sign is a clear and obvious reference to the Holocaust — a call for the destruction, not just of Israel, but of all Jews.

What happened in Germany eight decades ago started as something small and from the fringe of society. This time it has spread to the whole world. Jewish students at American universities are being bullied and belittled; threatened and injured. They are not alone. It is a worldwide phenomenon.

How far will it go? The Bible teaches that hatred of Jews will be a feature of the last days. I had hoped it would be a post-rapture phenomenon — that the Church would be morally strong enough to hold back this evil as long as the Church stays on earth. It still could. The next few days and weeks will tell quite the story.

A Matter of Life and Death – John 5:24

A lamp shining in the darkness: a matter of life and death

aclayjar.net

I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.

John 5:24 NET

What the NET translates as “I tell you the solemn truth” is a double word–“amen, amen,” or “truly, truly.” This is a way of stressing the importance of what follows. It is not just true; it is very true. It is of the utmost importance–a matter of life and death.

Jesus tells us that the one who does two things has eternal life and will not face judgment. First, we need to hear Jesus’ message. The word translated here as message is logos. This is the same word used at the beginning of John for the Word who was God and became flesh. Jesus is the Word. So, he calls on us first to hear him, to listen to the words of the Word.

But this is more than just passive listening. It is listening with comprehension: “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.” It is letting Jesus’ message sink down and grow roots in fertile and productive soil (Luke 8:5-8).

Believe the One Who Sent Jesus

The second requirement is to believe the one who sent Jesus–to believe the Father. Jesus came from the Father with a message to deliver to us. When we believe the messenger, we believe the one who sent him.

Believing has two parts. It means that we have accepted that his message is true. And that we have put our faith in him, taking what we have accepted as true and acting upon it.

As believers in the Lord Jesus, we were spiritually dead, separated from the life of God. But when we heard and believed, we crossed over to the other side. We were born again and now have eternal life.

Along with this comes the responsibility for passing on this good news to those still on the other side–those still living in darkness and death. Invite them to hear, believe, and experience eternal life. It is a matter of life and death.

Where Do You Meet with God? Exodus 25:22

 A Clay Jar

Encouraging, comforting, and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory. (1 Thess. 2:12 NIV)

aclayjar.net

A chair at a lake: Where do you meet with God?

The 25th chapter of Exodus details the furnishings for the Tabernacle, including the Ark of the Covenant Law and the Atonement Lid or Cover. This cover was solid gold and had a pair of cherubim, one at either end with their wings overshadowing the lid. God was said to symbolically dwell in the space between the cherubim (1 Sam. 4:4). And this was where the blood of the annual atonement offering was sprinkled (Lev. 16:11-17).

But it was also where God would meet with Moses, giving him instructions to pass on to the Israelites. There was likely nothing there for Moses to see, but he would hear God’s voice from between the cherubim.

Moses had a unique place in the history of redemption as the person God used to deliver Israel from Egypt and broker God’s covenant with them. And he had a unique place to meet with God. But having a place to meet with God is not reserved for unique people like Moses.

Where Is Your Meeting Place?

As believers, we are invited to come before the throne of God (Heb. 10:19-22) and to meet with him. But where is that for you? Do you have a place where you can go to meet with God? A place where it is just him and you, away from all the world’s distractions?

I try to walk through my neighborhood early in the morning while it is still dark. The activity keeps me awake, and the darkness hides the distracting surroundings. It is there that I can meet with God each day.

Your meeting place will probably be different from mine. But what is important is that you have a time and place where you can regularly spend time alone with God. A time to share your heart and mind with him. And a time to listen for his still small voice (1 Kings 19:11-13)–a voice that draws you near and provides instruction, comfort, correction, and guidance.

Eternal Life or God’s Wrath? – John 3:36

John 3:36 on a mountain scene: Eternal Life or God’s Wrath?

The one who believes in the Son has eternal life. The one who rejects the Son will not see life, but God’s wrath remains on him.

John 3:36 NET

John has made it clear that Jesus is the incarnate Son of God (John 1:14). And God sent him so that whoever believes in him would have eternal life (John 3:16). This divides humanity into two groups. Those who believe in the Son. And those who reject the Son. There is no middle ground.

John tells us here that the one who rejects the Son remains under God’s wrath. While this has a future component, remaining under God’s wrath also describes a current condition.

The third chapter of Genesis describes humanity’s fall. Exile from the garden of God was the result. Living apart from the life we were created for. And humanity remains in exile today, separated from the life of God and under his wrath. It is our default condition. And it remains our condition unless we believe in the Son.

The One Who Believes

But the one who believes returns from exile and is brought back into life in the garden, eternal life. But this eternal life is not just something for the future. The one who believes has it now. We have been delivered from God’s wrath and are even now experiencing eternal life.

Believing in the Son is what divides those who have eternal life from those who are under God’s wrath. So, what does it mean to believe? This is the Greek word pisteuō, “to believe, put one’s faith in, trust, with an implication that actions based on that trust may follow.”

To believe is more than intellectual ascent. To believe in the Son is to put your faith and trust in him. It involves the way one lives one’s life. As James says, it is a faith that results in actions (Jam. 2:14-26). Believing in the Son leads to a transformed life.

Believing about Jesus, even believing everything that the Bible says about him, is not enough (Jam. 2:19). If one does not believe in the Son, committing their life to him as Lord and doing the will of the Father (Matt. 7:21-23), then they have rejected him and remain under God’s wrath.

Don’t be satisfied with believing about Jesus. Believe in him and experience eternal life.

UK Lawyers Argue Employing Christians May Lead LGBT People To Suicide

 harbingersdaily.com

(London, United Kingdom) — Over the last week, the Christian Concern community has thrown its weight behind Christian social worker Felix Ngole. I know that he and the whole team are hugely grateful for all the prayer support received.

Felix’s hearing at an employment tribunal in Leeds started this week. On Wednesday, we again witnessed a panel member having to step down for possible bias.

But it’s easy to miss amidst the drama just how important Felix’s case is.

Felix is a kind, Christian man; exactly the sort of person you would want as a Mental Health Support Worker. Touchstone Support Leeds initially recognised this, offering Felix the role.

But the charity withdrew the offer after discovering his Christian beliefs about marriage and saying Felix must promise to embrace and promote ‘homosexual rights’.

Most people would immediately see that this is barefaced discrimination.

However, the charity’s lawyers are relying on a dangerous argument that, if accepted, might not just keep Felix out of a job. It could spell disaster for the freedoms of Biblical Christians to hold jobs.

Minority Stress Theory

The organisation’s lawyers argue that they can’t employ someone like Felix because his views on sex and gender might ‘damage’ the mental health of people identifying as LGBTQ+. They take their argument to the extreme when they assert that those identifying as LGBTQ+ might kill themselves if they discover Felix is a Christian.

According to the argument, called Minority Stress Theory, people who define themselves as LGBTQ+ suffer more stress, anxiety and depression than others because they are a minority. Anyone who holds views that disagree with their identity, like the Christian view on sex and gender, is considered a ‘risk’ to their mental health and worse, may lead to their suicide.

Because of this, the organisation claims that it was right to discriminate against Felix. It claims that if a service user discovered Felix’s views – perhaps from searching the internet – it would cause them distress and possible death.

You can see how, if the claims of Minority Stress Theory are accepted, it would be a green light for all kinds of employers to discriminate against Christians because of their beliefs.

Manipulative and dangerous tactic

Giving evidence this week, Felix reminded the panel of the story of the Good Samaritan and that Christians are to go out of their way to care for people who may not be exactly like them.

On the other side, one of the charity’s staff members claimed that John 3:16 or expressing the belief that there are only two genders could be triggering and potentially lead to death.

This is deeply manipulative. It’s akin to the tactic used by trans campaign groups of asking parents of a young boy “would you prefer a dead son or a living daughter?”

It’s easy to see how this logic could be used against any Christian, with perfectly ordinary (true) beliefs, who encounters vulnerable members of the public. If this argument can be used to deny Felix a job, it will likely be wielded against all sorts of other Christians, including NHS workers and teachers.

Love the sinner, hate the sin?

In truth, one of the best things that someone identifying as LGBTQ+ could receive is a Christian – whom they know doesn’t agree with their actions – showing them love and compassion.

For so long, people have been brainwashed into thinking that the only reason people oppose LGBTQ+ ideology is because they are nasty, hateful bigots. This is a slur used against Christians and others with conservative views to force ordinary people into supporting same-sex ‘marriage’, gay pride and transgender ideology. If you oppose these things, you are by definition a hateful person.

But Christians often say “love the sinner, hate the sin”. The phrase may be overused but it captures the reality succinctly: Christians act out of love when they refuse to compromise on sexuality and gender. They hate the sin because they love the sinner.

The world increasingly has no concept of this. Despite Christians making this clear for decades, there is little to no understanding in the public imagination. It is only when people see the uncompromising but compassionate witness of Christians with their neighbours, family and friends that this barrier can be overcome.

That’s why it’s so essential for Christians like Felix to be able to take roles like the one he applied for. Felix could have led by example, demonstrating deep compassion for everyone he came across. And if they found out his beliefs, they might just have come to realise that they are not hated by Bible-believing Christians.

Please continue praying for Felix and our legal team as the expert opinions are tested and the legal arguments made. Pray that the claims about Minority Stress Theory would not be used to justify discrimination and for the many Christians serving around the world in similar roles to continue showing the love of Christ to all sorts of people.

Final Nail in America’s Coffin?

 ronpaulinstitute.org

When future historians go searching for the final nail in the US coffin, they may well settle on the date April 20, 2024.

On that day Congress passed legislation to fund two and a half wars, hand what’s left of our privacy over to the CIA and NSA, and give the US president the power to shut down whatever part of the Internet he disagrees with.

The nearly $100 billion grossly misnamed “National Security Supplemental” guarantees that Ukrainians will continue to die in that country’s unwinnable war with Russia, that Palestinian civilians will continue to be slaughtered in Gaza with US weapons, and that the neocons will continue to push us toward a war with China.

It was a total victory for the war party.

The huge spending bill is all about politics for Biden, yet so many Republicans simply went along with it. The last thing the people running Biden’s White House want to see as a close election approaches are ads blaming Biden for “losing Ukraine.”

The US and its allies have already sent over $300 billion to Ukraine and the country is still losing its war with Russia. Nobody believes another $60 billion will pull a victory from the jaws of defeat. But this additional money is meant to keep up appearances until November at the expense of Americans who are forced to pay for it and Ukrainians who are forced to die for it.

Speaker Johnson could not have passed these monstrosities without the full support of House Democrats, as the majority of Republicans voted against more money for Ukraine. So in the worst example of “bipartisanship,” Johnson reached across the aisle, stiffed the Republican majority that elected him Speaker, and pushed through a massive gift to the warfare/(corporate) welfare state.

After the House voted to send another $60 billion to notoriously corrupt Ukraine, Members waved Ukrainian flags on the House Floor and chanted “Ukraine, Ukraine.” While I find it distasteful and disgusting, in some way it seemed fitting. After all, they may as well chant the name of a foreign country because they certainly don’t care about this country!

Along with sending $100 billion that we don’t have to fund more overseas war, Speaker Johnson threw in another version of the Tik Tok ban, which gives Joe Biden and future presidents the power to shut down websites at will by simply declaring them to be “foreign adversary controlled.”

Not to be outdone, the US Senate on that same day passed the extension of Section 702 of the FISA Act, which not only allowed the government to continue spying on us without a warrant, but also contained new language massively expanding how they can spy on us.

Many conservative voters are asking what the point of Republican control of the House is if the agenda is determined by Democrats. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is even reported to have bragged to his colleagues about how easily Speaker Johnson gave Democrats everything they wanted and asked for nothing in return.

What is the silver lining in all this bad news? Most Republicans in the House voted against continuing the Ukraine war. That’s a good start. Our ideas are growing, not only across the country but even in the DC swamp. Take courage and don’t give up! Work for peace!

These States Are Making It Illegal for Illegal Immigrants to Enter

Conservative states across the country—Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, and Oklahoma—are taking border security matters into their own hands, proposing or passing legislation targeting illegal immigration.

The Oklahoma legislature just passed a bill designed to prohibit illegal immigrants from entering or living in the state.

HB 4156 states: “A person commits an impermissible occupation if the person is an alien and willfully and without permission enters and remains in the State of Oklahoma without having first obtained legal authorization to enter the United States.”

The bill passed the state House and Senate by wide margins and Gov. Kevin Stitt, a Republican, is expected to sign it into law.

The legislature declared the issue a crisis in the state and stated in the bill: “Throughout the state, law enforcement comes into daily and increasingly frequent contact with foreign nationals who entered the country illegally or who remain here illegally.

“Often, these persons are involved with organized crime such as drug cartels, they have no regard for Oklahoma’s laws or public safety, and they produce or are involved with fentanyl distribution, sex trafficking, and labor trafficking.”

Under the new law, a conviction related to “impermissible occupation” would be considered a misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in a county jail, a fine of up to $500, or both.

Subsequent offenses are felonies, punishable by up to two years in prison, a fine of up to $1,000, or both.

Illegal immigrants who are barred from the country or have been issued a removal order by an immigration judge, and then enter Oklahoma will face a felony charge carrying a possible sentence of up to two years in prison, a fine of up to $1,000, or both.

In all instances, those found guilty must leave Oklahoma within 72 hours of being convicted or released from custody. CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE
